Browse the 8 powders

Process

Leaf to pouch, in six steps and one temperature that matters more than the rest.

One ingredient is a harder promise than eight

A blend can hide a weak harvest behind a strong one. A single-ingredient powder can’t — if the spinach was poor, you taste poor spinach.

Nothing below is exotic. It’s the ordinary work of drying a plant without ruining it, done slowly enough to cost more than the fast version.

45°

The number the whole process turns on

Dried below 45°C, because heat takes the colour and the vitamins with it

Sourcing

Grown by farms we can name

Every powder starts as one crop from one region — never a blend of whatever was cheapest that month. Single-ingredient means single-origin.

TODO — name the states you actually source from.

Harvest

Picked at peak, not at convenience

Leaves and roots lose nutrient density from the moment they're cut. Harvest windows are set by the plant, which is why some powders are seasonal.

TODO — hours from harvest to washing.

Fresh leaves under running water in a steel wash tank

Washing

Three washes, no chemicals

Potable water only. Nothing that would leave a residue you'd then eat by the spoonful, every day, for months.

No bleach, no chlorine dips, no wax.

Drying

Low and slow, under 45°C

The single decision that separates a green powder from a grey one. High heat is faster and cheaper, and it takes the colour, the aroma and a good share of the heat-sensitive vitamins with it.

TODO — confirm your actual drying temperature and duration.

Fine green powder falling from a mill into a steel bowl

Milling

Milled cool, sieved fine

Friction is heat, and heat is the enemy twice over. Milling in short passes keeps the powder from cooking on its way to becoming powder.

TODO — mesh size.

Sealed opaque pouches being weighed and labelled

Packing

Sealed away from light and air

Oxygen and daylight fade a powder in weeks. Opaque, resealable, packed in small batches so it reaches you closer to the harvest than to the expiry.

TODO — batch size and shelf life.
